Chat Help!

Can't See The Sex Shows?

Chat Isn't Running?

1. Make sure you have the latest web browser. Download Internet Explorer 5 free at Microsoft. This will get things working!

AOL!

In AOL while logged on:

* Minimize the entire AOL window "-"

* Goto desktop.

* Double click Internet Explorer icon "e".

* Login again.

Using Internet Explorer outside the AOL network (while logged in) with the latest edition of Internet Explorer improves performance and solves technical issues.

Chat System!

This chat system uses Java to allow faster chat between people online. You may have noticed a gray box (which is an applet) when you first log in. It should only take about 30 seconds to load. Here's how things work:

  • Log in where it says enter a nickname. Type in your name. Use the /nick command to change your nickname. For example, /nick MyNickName changes your nickname to MyNickName.

  • You will see your name in bold on the right side in the active users list. Guests are people that have come to the page, but haven't logged into chat.

  • The "Action" Menu at the bottom will post a chosen message from the list. To make this work, open the pull down menu and highlight an "Action." It will automatically post to chat. To send an action message to someone on the User List, click once on the person's name. You will now see a box around the name. Then go to the drop down list and choose an action. You can do the same with sounds.

  • To send messages in color, click one one of the colors (with the numbers in it). Then type your message and hit enter. To highlight your message (background color), choose 2 colors. You should see some numbers in front of your message before it gets posted.

  • To chat with someone privately, go to the User List and double click on the person's nickname.  This is private chat. Please respect others who may not want to private chat.

  • To change the chat window size to Smaller, Medium or Large, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on [ 800 X 600 Display ] or [ 1024 X 768 Display ]. Just click on one of the links. The opening chat window defaults at [ 640 X 480 ] screen settings.

Chat Extras!

Besides the actions and sounds you can add an Avatar next to your nickname. An Avatar is a small picture. Click on "Commands", then Avatar Panel. In a few moments the Avatar Panel will load. Double click on the image you want to use next to your nickname.

The "Image Panel" works the same way. Choose an image to be used in your chat message. Feel free to play around with this.
